About Renae
Renae’s extensive history in the Quarter Horse industry brings extraordinary experience to her current business ventures. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and has a M.S., in Professional Studies Education with a specialization in Learning Disabilities. She was a classroom resource instructor for eleven years, and retired from teaching in 1988 to become a full time farm and breeding manager for Jim Dudley Quarter Horses. As “Leading AQHA Breeders” for over a decade, Jim and Renae Dudley produced numerous National and International Champions. Renae owns a small select broodmare band. Her mares and foals represent the best genetics of AQHA and NSBA Leading Sires, Scotch Bar Time and Investment Asset. Renae markets her foals privately and through the Breeders’Classic Sale held each September in Gifford, Illinois. As an equestrian, Renae is a current member of NSBA, APHA, AQHA, POA, APHC and several state and regional horse organizations. She has served as the IQHA affiliate chairman for the AQHA Ride Program and is a Professional Horsemen with the AQHA 4aHorse program. She has competed at a national level including the AQHA World Show, All-American QH Congress, and many state and local futurities. Her accomplishments include a Reserve World Champion, several ROM, futurity winners, and superior event horses.
Renae is a carded NSBA and POA judge, and enjoys judging open and 4-H competitions, as well as serving as a clinician at these events. Renae is an advertising sales representative for the HORSEPOWER magazine, and a licensed equine appraiser. Renae and her business partner, Gary Derby, own and manage HiMARKS, LLC. The software company produces and markets equine business software for professional equestrians, breeding and boarding facilities. Their software HiMARKSä, Horsemen’s Income Management and Record Keeping System, is a sophisticated and comprehensive Windowsä based business system.
